Acceptable use policy
Use Binomial lawfully, protect other people’s information, and keep engineering findings in their proper context.
Updated
Where this policy applies
This policy applies to use of the public Binomial website and its inquiry channels. It applies to customer product access where incorporated into the applicable customer agreement. Customer enforcement and contractual remedies follow that agreement.
Organizations should make these expectations clear to the people they authorize to use Binomial. Read this policy alongside Website terms, Privacy, and the applicable customer agreement.
Use authorized accounts and sources
Use only accounts, organizations, repositories, and information you are authorized to access. Keep credentials secure and respect the permissions and scope approved by the customer and connected provider.
- Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your authority.
- Do not collect, view, export, or share another workspace's information without permission.
- Do not bypass access controls or continue using access that has been revoked.
- Do not upload information you lack the rights or authority to provide.
Keep use lawful and respectful
Do not use Binomial to commit fraud, facilitate unlawful activity, violate intellectual-property or privacy rights, or distribute unlawful material.
Do not use the website or its communications channels for threats, harassment, exploitation, abusive content, unsolicited bulk messages, or deceptive solicitations. Do not use findings to expose private information or target a person for harm.
Protect the service
- Do not introduce malware, malicious scripts, or harmful files.
- Do not disrupt availability, overwhelm endpoints, or evade rate limits.
- Do not probe, exploit, or test systems outside explicit written authorization.
- Do not interfere with another user's access or attempt to defeat service safeguards.
- Do not scrape or redistribute restricted information without permission.
If you encounter a suspected vulnerability, stop the activity and report the issue without accessing additional information or exploiting it further.
Handle information responsibly
Limit information to the agreed purpose and scope. Share customer information and reports only with authorized recipients, using appropriate safeguards.
Do not submit credentials, secrets, or unrelated sensitive personal information through public inquiry or support channels. Respect deletion, retention, and confidentiality requirements in your customer agreement.
Use findings with human judgment
Engineering findings support investigation, coaching, and improvement. Keep source context, coverage, confidence, assumptions, and limitations with any interpretation you share.
Do not present modeled AI impact as proven causation, example data as customer results, or incomplete activity as a complete measure of a person's contribution.
Do not use Binomial findings as the sole basis for hiring, dismissal, compensation, or other consequential personnel decisions. Do not use Binomial to make automated personnel decisions or publish employee rankings across customers. Individual insights belong within authorized, contextual review.
Report a concern
Report suspected misuse or a security concern to [email protected]. Include the affected service, approximate time and time zone, a concise description, and any safe-to-share evidence. Do not include credentials or continue unauthorized testing.
See our security contact record for the public reporting route. Privacy concerns and information requests are described in Privacy choices.
Investigation and response
We may investigate suspected misuse and take proportionate action to protect the public website and its visitors, including restricting abusive access or removing prohibited submissions. Customer-service restrictions, notices, and remedies are governed by the applicable customer agreement and law.
When addressing a concern, we may request clarification and corrective steps from an authorized customer contact. An urgent security issue may require action before the full review is complete, subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.
Policy updates
We identify revisions with the update date on this page. Changes affecting customer obligations follow the notice and amendment terms in the applicable agreement; publishing a revision does not itself rewrite a signed agreement.
